It seems like email marketers are ready to punch someone in the face over ActiveCampaign these days…

It’s strange but true…

My bunny rabbit, Piggly Wiggly, has always had a lustful “vagenda" when it comes to making me piles of cash from my emails.

Anyway, Piggy Wiggly loves to infiltrate my email list with her lustful vagenda from time to time…

She sneaks onto my computer at night to watch “bunny porn" and write emails…

Puts pictures of her mounting her little brother, Bunkins, on my blog and emails…

Watch out for her vagenda...

Argues with me constantly over pricing… trying to give obscene discounts behind my back …

Threatens to mount my big toe if I don’t go along with her evil schemes of offering my high-priced training for next-to-nothing… (she even threatened to mount Million Dollar Mike Morgan’s bald head once…).

Her vagenda is never-ending I tell ya…

Whatever.

Let’s talk about something important…

This never-ending saga of a bunny’s vagenda is an example of how to make piles of cash from your emails through telling stories… (real or otherwise…).

Here’s one example of telling a “real" story resulting in multiple sales…

There I was…

I was hanging out with a big dog from MindValley between sessions at the 2012 MarketingSherpa/MECLABS Email Summit (my 7th year in a row attending)…

When all of a sudden, Dr. Flint McGlaughlin (one of the most respected marketers on the planet and director of MECLABS) comes up to us and starts chatting…

How to Add Countdown Timer to Your Emails

I’ve tried free countdown timers for use in emails, and they suck big time.

#1 - Branding. You have to show the company’s brand who provided the ability to the countdown timer.

#2 - You have to worry about huge file size, how it displays in mobile devices… to name a couple issues.

Well, I don’t have to worry about that crap anymore.

I can instantly add urgency, scarcity and believability (to name a few) to my client’s emails in about 60 seconds… (and they work on my wife’s iPhone too!).

Here are some answers to questions I’ve heard already.

Question #1 - Can I send custom variables in the urls for the timers in my emails?

Answer: Yes. No reason you have to use the tracking urls provided with the timers. You can just use the img source url and then link the animated countdown timer image in your email with your own url.

Question #2 - If the images are hosted on Jack Born’s server, isn’t there a possibility of some douchebag spamming their list and getting Jack’s url blacklisted… and thus screw us too?

Answer: Yes. This is a “possibility". Jack is working on making an option available to host the timers on your own server.
